Buying a home in Antalya: steps, taxes and checks

A residential complex with a pool and palm trees by the sea

Foreigners buy property in Antalya all the time: 7,237 flats and houses in 2025, according to TÜİK. Buying a flat in Antalya fits into five steps.

How to buy a flat in Antalya

  1. District and budget. It is better to choose the district first: the way to the sea, the school and the price depend on it.
  2. Selection and viewings. We view properties online or on site and compare resale and new builds.
  3. Checks. The tapu extract, debts and encumbrances, the developer's documents — before the deposit.
  4. Transaction at the land registry. The title passes on the tapu; the fee is 2% from the buyer and 2% from the seller.
  5. Residence permit — if needed. A home from 200,000 USD provides the basis. In detail: Turkish residence permit through property.
