How much does moving to Turkey cost?
The main costs are the flight, rent for the first months and insurance. The median rent in Antalya province is 282.65 lira per m² a month (TCMB, Q3 2026): a 60 m² flat is around 17,000 lira, our calculation from the median.
Do you need a visa to move to Turkey in 2026?
Citizens of the Russian Federation with an ordinary passport don't need a visa for a trip of up to 60 days (Turkish MFA). To live longer you need a residence permit, for example through a home from 200,000 USD.
Can you spend a winter first?
Yes, a winter in Turkey is a good test. In January Antalya averages 15 °C in the daytime, but it rains often: 225.5 mm of precipitation in the month (MGM). Check how well the flat keeps the heat.
What insurance does a residence permit need?
A policy for the whole term of the residence permit: for two years — "1+1 year" or GSS. Under 18 and over 65, insurance is not required for a short-term residence permit (Göç İdaresi).
