What it is like to live here

Kepez in Turkey is less known than the beach districts, although more people live here than anywhere else in the city. Kepez grew out of an industrial district; from the 1950s–70s there were weaving mills here (Kepez municipality). The quarters are very different, so look at the specific street (Life by Sea guide).

Expat communities are smaller here, but Turkish comes faster. Nearby are large hospitals — Antalya Şehir Hastanesi and Kepez Devlet Hastanesi (Antalya health directorate), the Tek Sarnıç park and the upper Düden waterfall.

The guide's advice: before choosing a flat, walk from the house to the tram. This route decides whether life without a car will be comfortable.

Voice of a resident

Opinions about Kepez differ: the quarters are very different, and the impression depends on the street. View the flat by day and in the evening, and check the road to the sea at the weekend.
